IF YOU HAD THE CHOICE, WHICH APP/COMBO PLATE WOULD YOU CHOOSE?
1. FRESH MOZZARELLA BEEFSTAKE TOMATO, ROASTED PEPPERS WITH TRI COLERED GREENS, BALSAMIC VINAIGRETTE WITH BAKED PARMESAN CHEESE CROUTONS.
2. FANNED MELON AND PINEAPPLE GARNISHED WITH KIWI, STRAWBERRY AND FRESH BERRIES...WITH BABY BOSTON LETTUCE, WALNUTS AND RASPBERRY VINAIRGRETTE.
PLEASE HELP...MY FRIEND IS GOING NUTS AND I TOLD HER I WOULD ASK YOU GIRLS!

Definitely #1. It sounds delicious! Also, keep in mind that many people are allergic to nuts, so #2 could be a problem.

i would go for #2 - sounds lighter and allows for more of the (i'm sure) delish food to be consume!!!
that's the whole premise that i built my menu on - lighter foods (but still yummy) so that everyone can enjoy more!

I HAVE TO ADD THAT THE DESERT WILL INCLUDE CHOCOLATE COVERED STRAWBERRIES....TOO MUCH FRUIT? MY FRIEND ALSO TOLD ME SHE HAS LEMON SORBET IN BETWEEN APP/SALAD AND DINNER.

I've never liked fruit as an appetizer. It just seems like a dessert to me. JMO

I would choose #1, it sounds very good . I'm not a big fan of fruit for an appetizer.

don't get me wrong - i love the tomato/mozzarella combo - it's one of my ALL TIME FAVORITES.... but pete & i decided the same thing with our menu - even though fruit isn't your traditional appetizer, we opted for it so that people would have more room for all the other foods..... p.s. it's a palate cleanser!

i vote for #2!!!! I love fruit and nuts in a salad...plus its kind of different... most catering halls are offering some kind of Tom/mozz salad...JMO!
