My dr. is giving me 4 months to get it down b4 he puts me on medicine.
Is there anyone on here that takes Lipitor or such? Is it okay for women in their childbearing years? B/c the commercials say not to be taken by women pregnant or 'who wish to become pregnant'

Mine was high too, 285. I got it down to about 240 just by diet and exercise in about 6 weeks. I don't know what it is right now though since I haven't been tested in about a year.
At the moment, I refuse to go on medication specifically because they say you shouldn't if you think you might become pregnant. I can wait a few years before going on medicine.

Mine was borderline high but I stopped eating SATURATED fats and it dropped signifigantly lower. Be careful ladies you are at risk for a heart attack or stroke with that high cholesterol and we will have none of that here.
