We're trying to narrow down our search for the perfect wedding band. Our top 3 are Renegade from LI Paramount, The Next Faze from Faze 4 and Soho from Lou Davis Music.
We like them all but are having trouble deciding. Is anyone using these bands or has anyone been to a wedding with any of these?
Any insight is much appreciated! Thanks!

I've seen faze 4's Play by Play 2x and if their other band is as good as them, you'll be thrilled.

Re: Choosing a band
I only saw the demo DVD from Arcadia, and they were amazing. We are going tonight to the showcase to see them live. My contract is all written up and ready based on how we feel tonight!! They are so good..... I saw Renegade at wedding 2 years ago and was certain they were going to be my band, but we saw arcadia first and loved them!!!

Re: Choosing a band
My cousin used Arcadia at her wedding and they were amazing. From the minute we walked in they had people dancing the whole night. Definitely the best band I have ever heard at a wedding!

Faze 4's Play by Play was perhaps the best wedding band I have ever seen.

My wedding band was The Mystic. I know it's not one of your 3, but they were great! They play at Hudson and McCoy on Thursday nights, you should check them out.

Re: Choosing a band
i looked at a few bands and chose renegade. i thought their energy was amazing, and i only saw them at a showcase which i would think would be hard to be energized for, considering people aren't dancing---they're sitting awkwardly in chairs lined up on a dance floor!!! but despite that no one was up and moving, they were awesome! i saw a dvd of a lou davis band and i wasn't impressed. i've heard great things about the faze 4 bands and i've seen dvds- they seem to be really good. but of course renegade is my favorite!

Re: Choosing a band
Did it bother you that there is only 1 female singer in Renegade? She was very good but that's one of my concerns. Am I overanalyzing?
Lou Davis doesn't have showcases or a dvd. You can only listen to a cd which we thought was an odd way of choosing a band but obviously it works for some people. Anyone have any thoughts on that?

Re: Choosing a band
I went to a wedding where they had a faze 4 band (don;t know which one) but they were amazing. FH and I wanted to use faze 4 but they were too expensive for us.

Re: Choosing a band
Yes, Faze 4 is a little pricier. Renegade's price is extremely reasonable which is also a big consideration for me... it would be nice to catch a break on something!

Re: Choosing a band
I have heard good things about Renegade. You should check out the band we booked, Soul Revival , so far they are the only vendor I have booked besides my hall and photographer, they are really geat. They were very reasonably priced, and willing to work within our budget. www.soulrevivalband.com

Re: Choosing a band
Not to confuse you further but we went with Niteflight. They have a great sound and when we saw them at their showcase, they looked like they were having fun up there. The MC is also very personable. Good luck with your search

Re: Choosing a band
We also is thinking about hiring Lou Davis. It's the Erich G Band. I never heard about them so I'm kind of skeptical.
Have you thought about Hank Lane. i heard good nothing but good review about them.
