Chopped Turkey

Does anyone know of a good, easy to prepare recipe using chopped turkey meat?

I was going to make turkey burgers, but that is boring.

So any ideas you have would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Scott

you could use it in anything that you would use ground beef in. I used it to make meatturnovers in and FH thought it was awesome.

Brown 1 small chopped onion then add turkey until 90-95% done. Add 1/3-1/2 small/normal bottle of fat free italian dressing. Add stuffed green olives. NOTE: BLACK OLIVES TASTE REALLY WIERD IN THIS DISH.

Meanwhile, boil some yoke free egg noodles.
Drain noodles, mix with turkey. Enjoy

We have gotten to really enjoy turkey burgers. I mince zucchini, onion, button mushrooms and parsley in the food processor. I add salt, pepper, egg white and enough bread crumbs to hold it together. These can be broiled or pan fried in a small amount of oil.

Chili or stuffed peppers is excellent with ground turkey as well.

Re: Chopped Turkey

LI mom those sound yummy.

I do something like that now, except I use mushrooms, red peppers, onions, garlic, and salsa.

I mix that all into the turkey meat...and then I place them on the george Forman.

Salsa with the turkey meat sounds great also. I like that with the veggies you use.
Thanks Scott.

Re: Chopped Turkey

I mix chopped turley with chopped onion, garlic, egg and some bread crumbs, salt and pepper and shape into patties and bake.
I also make them into sweet and sour meatballs. I take the ground turkey, egg, seasoned bread crumbs and a little water, make into meatballs, take tomato sauce and jelly cranberry sauce and melt together- equal parts, and some water, I do not like things too acidic and when it is on a slow simmer add meatballs to sauce and let cook about 45 mintues and then let it sit for a few hours so the sweet and sour taste works into the meatballs, serve over rice or egg noodles. YUMMY!
I use ground turkey in meatloaf too.

PS It is on sale at Stop and Shop this week too, buy one get one and they had 1.00 off coupons attached to the package when I went this morning to the one in N. bellmore.

Re: Chopped Turkey

My son and his fiance asked for turkey meatloaf for their Tues. night dinner tomorrow. Basically I make it like my usual meatloaf but with ground turkey instead. I add grated onions, garlic, bread crumbs, egg, ketchup, horseradish, salt and pepper and I will grind up mushrooms for added moisture. If I had zucchini I'd grate a little in too but I'm not going shopping.

I spread a little more ketchup over the top and bake til slightly crisp.

I made turkey chili the other night. It came out really good. My DH even liked it better than regular chopped meat. It's sooo easy to make!

Chopped Turkey
Chili seasoning
