FH and I have been taking dance lessons once a week with the same instructor for months now. I thought it would be nice to give a christmas tip with a card. Is 20 ok, or should it be more?

It's whatever you feel comfortable with. Its a tip its not necessary. It is a nice gesture.

I'm a dance teacher and usually students get me things which are rarely more than 20 dollars if they get me something at all. I'm sure your instructor will appreciate it.
