I just booked my RH and will be getting married in early December of 2009. I don't want to do a Christmas wedding per se, but would love some suggestions for small seasonal touches I could do to tie in the time of year. Any ideas welcome!! I'm not super creative when it comes to this kind of thing.

I am not getting married in the winter but i am doing bottles of pindar winter white for my favors..i was going to do the pindar autumn gold but it is not good...so i figure people will use the winter white for the upcoming holidays...

December brides...keeping in mind I hear that certain places decorate on its own so you may be able to save some money on flowers.

im getting married this december - doing a lot of stuff - everything is going to be a touch a christmas up until the reception and then we are totally switching it up with a winter lounge vibe - blue ambiance lighting, crystals, branches - our VH is going to have some added things for the holidays like egg nog and christmas cookies - there are some pics in my album of some the things we are doing

I too am having a holiday-ish wedding, but I am not going overboard to make it like a Christmas party. First, the hall is decorating with white lites and garland/greens everywhere (wreaths, the stairway, fireplace, etc). We are using christmas ball place card holders in champagne colors (to match the black/champagne BM dresses). Also, we are incorporating some fresh xmas greens and long curly birch branches into our white centerpieces, and there will be candles everywhere... Check out my albums, there are a few ideas.

I've seen that too and its beautiful and the couple gave out really nice ornaments as the favor since their wedding was before christmas. It was so pretty

hey there i'm a former december bride....here's a link to my review...it's loaded with photos & ideas if u wanna take a look a few things i did:
-christmas carolers at my CH -personalized ornaments as favors -cauldrens of eggnogg & hot cocoa at the venetian hour - peppermint martinis w/candy canes for stirrers
and from the pics u'll see, i tied my colors into EVERYTHING.
We had a winter/nautical theme to our wedding. Our RH was decked out in holiday decor which was beautiful, so we just set in on making our theme just as classic and classy.
We had narcissus bulbs for favors (the little paperwhite daffodil flowers that you see forced at this time of year), and Christmas candies in our OOT bags. We had our DJ play Rat Pack Christmas songs and other jazzy carols during the CH so it just fit right in with the festive mood.
I think you can do lots of different themes in December. It just depends on how you roll it all in together.

My friend had a snowflake cake, since they didn't want to go with a 'Christmas' theme per se. Her bouquet was white roses with holly berry and evergreen. I don't have a good pic of that, but here's the cake:

i had a Christmas wedding in December last year and it was amazing!!!
i have tons of pics in my albums.. we also had carolers that was an extra touch!!
the hall was decorated beautifully for the season!!
