I booked by church for 2 pm. I did it so I can have time to take pics after the church. BUt I was thinking to change it to 3 so my guest wont have to wait a long time for the reception that starts at 6pm, but then I may not have time to take pics. Pl help, what would you do?

Re: Chruch 2 or 3 pm???
Leave it at 2. That isn't a lot of time. My church is at 2:30 and the CH is at 7:30.
ETA: A greek ceremony is longer then a full catholic mass so leave yourself the extra time.

Re: Chruch 2 or 3 pm???
I am having church at around 1 or 1:30.... i know that it is really early but I am getting married in the fall and I want to be able to take pictures in the daylight. Plus I am having Greek Ceremony!!
I feel bad b/c CH is at 7.... but everyone lives around the area and most likely my parents will have food and stuff set up at my house for everyone....

If at 2: I was thinking 2-3 church 3-330 - kissing everyone 330-430 - pics 430-6 - get back to the RH for more pics and I dont want to miss the CH
If it was at 3 3-4 church 4-430 - kissing everyone 430-530 - pics 530-6 - back to the RH

YUP!! That was why FH and I are haing mass so early... you figure if mass starts at 1, it will probably be over at around 2:30(the latest!) by the time everyone comes out and you take the picture in front of the church it will be at least 3:30....

I'd also say to leave it at 2. On that day things seem to take more time than you anticipated (you might be at the church longer than you think or there might be traffic, etc.) so it's always good to have that extra cushion of time, rather than not enough.

Re: Chruch 2 or 3 pm???
I don't mind for you b/c you're my FSIL but i dread those long waits....we have another one tomorrow it's such a waste of time in between....i will probably not go to the church tomorrow b/c I'm not in the mood to wait 3 hours at home again. That is the only risk you have...people won't come to church b/c of the gap in between....butttt on the bright side, you have plenty of time for pics.
we have church 4pm and CH at 6:30 but we are doing pics beforehand and it's only 8 miles away so we have an hour to go 8 miles for the reception.

Re: Chruch 2 or 3 pm???
keep it for 2pm...you know how greek weddings can be...it's going to start a tad bit late and run a bit over, and then you have the receiving line...your guests will then have to travel to your reception hall, so you'll be fine keeping it for 2pm

Yeah I was thinking about 'greek time' 2pm means 230, lolol. People can go for coffee in between

True, Greeks always run on Greek time, lol. Thanks!! I think 2 is a good time, I dont want to rush things. I want to make it to my CH on time and take pics before hand

For a Greek ceremony keep it at 2pm. One of my BMs married into a Greek family and the ceremony was close to 2 hours. You'd be rushing if you did it at 3pm.
