I am having a dilemma, my mother really wants me to be married in the church (which I am OK with) but we are getting married on a Sunday which kind of makes that hard to do. Church ceremonies start at 3, and the party is at 12. Has anyone heard of a priest or member of the clergy willing to do an on site ceremony on site & still having it be seen in the eyes of god? I know priest will marry on site, but having it seen by god is the big issue I am facing.

Re: Chruch/On Site Ceremony
I think it depends on the priest. Our pastor told us that he is not allowed to marry us not in the church.

I heard that the priest is not allowed to come out of church. If you do find someone, it won't be recognized by the church.
This was our dilemma as well. We are going to have a civil ceremony then later on get married by the church.

Re: Chruch/On Site Ceremony
If you're Catholic a priest won't be able to marry outside of the Church, but a Deacon will. HTH!

That is what we are going to do, civil ceremony than church later.
