Chubby Cheeks and today's appt- updated with some new info

I had my 5th sonogram today and the first thing the tech said is 'Your baby is beautiful. Look at those chubby cheeks'

My little one is progressing right on schedule. BUT the femoral (sp?) bone is 1.5 weeks ahead of everything else Scott's DNA is winning So Scott will either be calling UCONN for Women's Basketball or PITT for Boy's Basketball try-out dates in the year 2020

The baby's estimated weight is 6-6.5lbs, which is good and means that my GD is well under control.

Okay, the non-stress test nurse had to say 'Did you know your baby is breech at almost 37 weeks' And the u/s tech also said that to me. Both asked, 'So when is your scheduled section?: I said, 'Yes. I do know that the baby is breech but I still have time for the baby to turn.' I went to a meditation circle last night and had Reiki done (a healing art that is done to promote energy and balance). So I am trying every single thing known to Women to get this baby to turn.

I am not dialated or effacing at all- which is actually good news in this case. We, meaning ME, needs a little extra time for the baby's done timer to pop and the baby to turn.

UPDATE: The doctor said that a turn is not done on a mother with GD so for right now, that option is no longer an option. Of course, I have asked for other opinion but I am doubtful about it. I have 10 days for the baby to turn and then I would need to schedule 'other' stuff. So even though my leg hurts I am going for a walk. I read that it can help the baby turn....turn baby turn.....

Michele! Your baby is beautiful! I admire you for doing the best for you and your little one. Hang in there, there is still time. In the end, all will be ok!

Michelle, what a beautiful child! I have been thinking of you. I had no idea about the GD being a contraindication to version. Well that solves that. You are doing everything you can to get this baby to turn around- and we are all praying for you. Stay well and stay positive. You will do great if you need a section, I know it. And baby will be healthy and perfect. How long are they going to let you go before they schedule the section?

So now you have to go into a hospital..where does the midwife come in?

Jenny- I was ALWAYS doing a hospital birth. My midwife does not do any home births. I actually never wanted a home birth anyway. That is JMO, but I feel there are too many risks for a baby with a home birth. Plus with the GD, it would just be foolish to even try one. So, the midwife is still my primary care giver. Even is I have to have a c-section ( I don't even like writing that) she would scrub in and be with me the whole time. I also spoke with her yesterday and said, that my arms cannot be tied down during the section and I want to be able to hold the baby and BF just like a mom who had a natural birth. She said that has been done before and is usually no problem.

I cannot even express my fear over the section. I just cry all the time now I truly do not want one and am going to keep trying to avoid it.

Stop crying and take another look at your chubby adorable baby! What a miracle he/she is. In the end, however he/she comes out will be a miracle, that you and your husband created. Keep your spirits up! We are all pulling for ya!

Okay, I may get lynched over this one, BUT I hope it gives you a laugh...

I have said throughout the duration of my pregnancy that IF I had to have a scheduled C-Section, the one good thing about it would be that I could have a plastic surgeon on call to lipo out some of my problem areas. I mean, I'm going to be opened up anyway... A silver lining for every cloud!

No matte how the baby arrives it's still a precious miracle and you will be FINE!
