Did anyone get married at St rose in Massapequa.... i was reading all my papers and i saw that we can not throw anything but rice outside of the church.... i really wanted to do rose pedals did anyone do that at st rose?

we went to FH's church in Deer Park and they said we can throw anything but flower petals b.c people can 'slip' on them.... i guess every church is different... hope your aloud to use them :)

I am getting married at St. Rose. I cant remember off hand what you are and are not allowed, but I ma pretty sure no rose petals because someone could slip. I've heard that St. Rose is actually a prettyt strict parish when it comes to all this. When my cousin got maried there she released butterflies.

No rose petals at my church too (because of slipping). We are allowed bubbles, butterflies, and bird seed.

I had the same issue at My church...They said only birdseed I too wanted rose petals, but the deacon said the same thing about people falling and that they would be liable. I'm so upset because I do not want birdseed stuck in my hair.

nope nothing but rice. This is because some a$$ fell an bird seed or something and then sued the parish. If you are concerened contact the Rectory. I think Im going to have my DOC call and see how I can aviod the rice
