I'm getting married at the hall but just make sure your church allows decorations because many have very strict restrictions.

Church

Stre2629 is right. My church has so many restrictions I'm surprised they even let people get married there. My church doesn't allow flower petals, runners, floral arches, candle stands, vases, rice, birdseed, confetti, flowers on pews can only be attached by rubber bands, if there's any seasonal decorations were not allowed to move them... I'm focusing my energy on decorating the RH.

Niccolina - what church if you don't mind me asking? I see your hall is in LB and that is where my church is. Haven't asked them about decorating yet but this makes me a bit nervous!

Ruthswedding- My church is Christ The King in Commack. No where near LB! We're doing our reception in LB because it has a special meaning to us.

My church doesn't care what we do. The priest did say not to spend money on flowers since we are getting married the week after Easter. He said the flowers will all be there and said he would have them order extra in our colors. Love my church!

i may just bring a few flowers or ribbons to put by the end of the pews but other than that I'm not going to spend a lot of time decorating the church. I am doing a short ceremony and the church doesn't allow us to bring too much in anyways.

Church

We aren't really encouraged to decorate either, but I'm 2 weeks after Easter so it will still be decorated. It's a really ornate church anyway so I'm okay with it :) So I would just check with your church!
