Church brides

How long before the wedding did you find out when you rehearsal would be? When was it compared to your wedding day?

I just booked mine last week (had to call the rectory and book it myself) and our wedding is in Sept. I would recommend doing sooner than later if they let you because there are TWO other rehearsals scheduled for that evening for our church.

I just booked mine, as long as you have all the paperwork filled out for my church you can book your rehearsal - they wanted me to have it on the friday - they day before, but I asked to have it on the thursday - 2 days before the wedding.

Some churched won't allow you to book it really far in advance... Like I think they will let you do it a couple of months in advance just so you have time to book a rehearsal dinner venue.

I called the rectory a couple of months before the wedding to set it up. We did it on a Thursday evening the week before the wedding. I didn't want to do it the week of the wedding because I knew I was going to have too much running around to do.

I called the church 2 weeks ago to find out. My wedding is 6 months off. If you call them, they should be able to tell you.

i actually called my church on Monday and asked if i could do the rehearsal on Wednesday and the Deacon put it on the calendar

We set it up the first day we met the priest. It was in Jan...and our wedding is August.

Our rehearsal is Friday night, and our wedding is Sunday.

We booked our church last week and our wedding is on a Friday, the rehearsal is on the Wednesday before so it's 2 days prior for us :)

We found out the day we went to book the church. We are getting married on a Friday and our rehersal is the Wed. before.

I booked mine already. My church made it very clear that they are on a first come, first serve basis so I figured I might as well book it.

Mine is going to be a whole week before my wedding b/c I'm getting married on a Friday night. They only have rehearsals at my church on Thursdays and Fridays and I didn't want to do it the night before. So the week before it is!

I booked ours 6 months ago. It is the Friday before the wedding. Call the rectory and they will tell you when you can book it.

I had 'tentatively' booked mine a couple months ago, but we couldn't officially book it until this week. So now we're 'officially' booked, and it's going to be the week before the wedding.

we still have to have our baptism certificates sent over to st. patricks before we can schedule anything.
FH emailed his (former) church and they are mailing it to him- his first time contacting and was helped immediately.

I had been contacting the church where I was baptized for MONTHS and I was given the run around, I finally spoke to someone on tuesday and I THINK she's sending mine to st. patricks, but the girl sounded like I was a major bother to her and didn't want to do it. so.. once st. pats get them then we can schedule ours.
