Church Ceremony
So my FH cousin is doing our church ceremony, but he lives in Staten Island. As far as picking readings, music, order etc- do we do it with him over the phone or with the church we're getting married in? Also- I don't think he can make the rehearsal since it's 2 days before the wedding. Would a priest from my church run it instead?

Re: Church Ceremony
Hi! Not sure if all churches are the same but we are getting married at St. Patricks in Bay Shore and we are picking the music during a music workshop with the music coordinator of the church and the list of readings - we were told will be given to us during pre cana.

I'm not sure if all churches do it the same, but we pick everything at the church. I'm still looking through different readings but I don't want the usual ones but we don't have to submit anything until a few weeks before.

my church gave us a booklet of readings that we can choose from. For the music, our church gave us the music director's email and said to email him around January, so around 4 months before the wedding

I am also getting married at St. Patricks in Bay Shore! I think the best option would be to call the church rectory and talk to them directly, since different churches have different ways of doing things.
