Church ceremony on a Friday

So I booked our church for a Friday. Our reception hall is about 15 mintues away and being that it's a Friday I was thinking of a 7:30-8 start time. We will be taking pictures after the ceremony at our reception hall outside weather permitting. Is a 4 ceremony too late? I told the priest 3 p.m. but now I'm thinking it's too early. I can change it of course. We will be having a half mass. MY FH told me the wedding he was in it took 2 hrs for them to take pictures so I just want to make sure we have enough time for pictures.

Re: Church ceremony on a Friday

4 seems fine to me. My friend is also getting married on a Friday and her ceremony starts at 3 and her reception starts at 8.

Re: Church ceremony on a Friday

My photographer recommended doing a 3 pm ceremony at the church. My RH is slightly farther than yours too. I think you will be fine. You are allowing more than 3 hours in between your CH and ceremony. That seems more than enough.
