Ok, so I just got off the phone with the woman in the rectory because I had some questions and I asked her how much the 'donation' is and she said $800! I almost fell out of my chair!!! Is everyone else's that much too? I was thinking like $200 - $400, I would have never though $800!
On the upside though, I booked the rehearsal for the night before at 7:00 so I get a check for that at least.

Ours is $250, but I have heard that they're sometimes much higher... My cousin paid $800 for her church too....

You know it's funny- we had a 2nd meeting at my church last night with the new Monsignor and he told us it was $600. I thought it was $400, so when I went home, I checked the paperwork and it is $600 (yikes!!!)...

I don't even know how much pre-cana is and we thankfully don't have to do foccus, my church doesn't require it.

Ours is $500, plus $200 for pre-cana, and I *think* an additional $200 for the church organist (even if you don't use them! ) but that might be included in the $500. I have to check on that!

$800 here....the best part is it was originally $650 when i booked the church and then i got a letter a few months ago that the fee has been raised!

They shouldn't call it a donation either...totally gives the wrong impression
If you're not allowing me to decide how much to 'donate' then just call it a 'fee'
