Would you mind telling me what your Church 'donation' fee is as well as your Music fee?
I am thinking that ours may be very high but I may be wrong. We are getting married in a Melville, NY

Does anyone else think you should just give what you can especially since most couples now pay for the whole wedding on their own, with little or no help at all.

i totally agree with you! a donation should be whatever you can afford to donate to that church, within reason. i mean, it shouldn't be like $25 but it shouldn't be like $700 either

490-of that 100 goes to the organist, 100 to the singer and the other 290 to the church. This also included our pre-cana.

$300 church and $200 music. Before we complain too much let's remember that it's at the church that we actually get married and for most of us it's the least expensive aspect of our weddings
