Church Fees like this makes me wonder!!!!!!!

So I THOUGHT I found a church that my sister was attending. FH and I attended a few services and then I inquired about their weddings!!!

This is the Non-member fee- $2175!!!!!

Breakdown is as follows!!!!

Premarital Counseling- $50
Santuary Rental-$ 500 (Free of members)
Officiating Clergy-$ 200
Wedding Adminstrator-$ 75 (the point of contact person)
Ceremony Consultant-$150 (basically the person who organizes ur ceremony)

Operational Staff- $150 ( I don't even know who this person is)
Minister of Music-$200 (even if u do not want music u still have to see this guy)

Organist/Pianist-$150 (optional)

Audio Ministry-$ 200 (optional- person to play cd's turn on mics and what not- my cousins can do this... even Tyler(my 7 yr old nephew can turn on a cd player!!!!-)

Refundable Deposit- $500 if u are time

So in the end as a non-member I would be paying $1675

As a member you would wind up paying $675!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

CAN YOU SAY THIS IS FRICKING HIGHWAY ROBBERY!!!!!!!!

I thought my church fee was a lot but I shouldn't complain. My 'donation' is $300 and includes everything. (Precana is free).

WOW that is alot, way too much.. I can see them charging a fee though or asking for a donation whatever makes them feel good,for using of the lights, cleaning up after the ceremony etc... but that is way too much money.

Where is this church located?
That might have a lot to do with it being so expensive and it sounds like they have a pretty extensive staff which is pretty uncommon from what I have seen.

wow! that is the most crazy expensive thing I have ever heard!!! Im paying $500 - which includes the music - and im not registered to the chuch ... and precana is an additional $175 - and i thought it was soo funny that its $300 if you do the overnight one!!

wow that is a lot of money...

I am paying $450.00 for the church
$175.00 for the organist. and $100.00 for precana.

I thought this was a lot!

thats why i refused to get married in the church, why pay so much and they call it a donation!! last time i checked i chose what i want to donate right!!
