Is anyone having flowers done for the church? I am not sure how all of that works. I know my church said that I can only have 2 baskets. Is it worth it?? I am just trying to get an idea of what I will need from a florist. Thanks!!!

Re: Church Flowers...
Personally, I didn't think it was worth it, and I'm glad I decided against them because the church ended up putting flowers on the altar anyway.

Me too!! I was on the fence and then decided not to...and the church had beautiful altar arrangements anyway so I'm glad I didn't!!
I did decorate the pres with tulle with rose petals and fresh blue hydrangea stems. That I loved.

Re: Church Flowers...
We are going to have two arrangements for the alter. After the ceremony, our florist is going to move them to the venue for us. From what I understand, this is a pretty common procedure and the church doesn't get offended at this. I'm also having bows on every other pew for the first eight, this didn't cost much. We're also having a flower crown made for the Blessed Mother, which we will of course leave with her.

OK....thanks for all of the suggestions. I think I will decorate the pews and forget about the flowers. Always nice to cut something out and save a little cash!

We're just doing the pues. (spelling?) It's less money, and will look very pretty.

We aren't doing them, I love the church and it doesn't need any extra stuff to make it more pretty

our church said the flowers were ours and we can take them afterwards to the reception hall...i think it's a nice touch for the ceremony.
