I don't think you'd be able to do it, based on timing - but we are doing ribbon wands.
Check with your church first before you buy anything - some have restrictions on what you can and can't do.

We did ribbon wands from AC Moore!
They came with the white ribbons already attached but we added black ones to go with our theme.

We used the streamers that stay attached to the tubes. I'd post the pic but I'm on my blackberry. We couldn't do bubbles or petals.
