Does anyone know how long a typical ceremony is with out mass. I am actually getting married at a Lutheran church, and I am not Lutheran, so I am completely unsure. Help!!

It depends, but on the average ceremony (w/out mass) is 20-30 minutes. W/mass 45-60 minutes.

I am doing a ceremony.. It will be about 30-40 min. long. I also am doing a unity candle with 3 readings.. Don't know if that helps... Try calling the church, they should know the time frame... also depends on if you are having a receiving line

you should go over the time with your officiant---they could probably tell you how long it will take. sometimes the thing you can't really control is the minister's sermon--that part is something you will have to ask how long he/she typically takes for their sermon on marriage.

I think about 30 minutes also. We just went to a ceremony in a Protestant church not too long ago.
