Re: Church in Queens / RH is on the LI... Where
My church is in Queens and my RH is in LI too! I'm going to book the hotel near the RH so that it's not a long ride back to the rooms after the wedding. HTH

Re: Church in Queens / RH is on the LI... Where
We had this issue as well since most of our Ireland/London guests were going to be here the week before the wedding as well. We blocked off rooms near the RH but also listed hotels near our homes/church on the wedding website. We also rented a coach bus to shuttle guests from Queens to RH and back.
A friend of mine is getting married in August and she had a similar situation. She also blocked off hotels by the RH but included a note on the hotel block insert that she'd be happy to provide info for hotels near her house for guests who would prefer to stay there.
HTH!

i would book near the RH only b/c that's where the night will end and people aren't going to want to travel very far at the end of the night. Do you have alot of OOT guests? You could always block rooms at 2 hotels one by the church and one by the RH and have your guests decide what they would perfer.

I say, book near the RH since like everyone said, thats where everyone will end up at the end of the night. The distance between your church and the reception hall isnt that far. Your guest should be able to make it back and forth, even the ones without cars :)
