Re: Church meeting
maybe about the requirements for using the church? Like the type of music you could use and if you could throw flowers, things like that...or maybe he wants to discuss marriage with you guys?

Re: Church meeting
I was so nervous before my first meeting, but don't worry... it's nothing bad at all! We just went over the date we wanted and time, they made sure it was available, filled out paperwork... our information, whether we were both catholic, etc. We discussed the details: mass or ceremony, when rehearsal would be, what the mass would include, etc. We also discussed our pre-cana and the best time to get our marriage lisence and all. Our priest marrying us was very nice and helpful, I'm sure that they all are!

Re: Church meeting
I just had my meeting last night! I was very nervous before hand, and I'll admit it was a little awkward, but really you have nothing to worry about. You will have to fill out a basic form that will ask you both what religion you are, if and where you were baptized/received communion, if you were ever married before, if you are entering the marraige by your own free will, if there are any physical reasons you would not be able to have a 'conjugal' union, if you plan on having children and if you promise to raise them as Catholics. My FH is not Catholic, so it was slightly more involved for us, but really no big deal! You will discuss pre-cana arrangements, we were given the names and phone numbers of the organist and singer and we chose our date, and went over a few other details. If you have any specific questions, feel free to FM me and if I can put your mind at ease over anything, I'd be more than happy to!

He will want to get to know you , ask questions, tell you about requirements and he will probably ask for your baptism certificates.

Re: Church meeting
The meeting varies depending on your religion but the main idea is to talk to you about your responsibilities as husband and wife and stuff like that.
Re: Church meeting
i have met with two seperate churches at this point. and i just met with the pastor who will be marrying us last night. if you want, feel free to fm me and i can tell you all the questions he asked us.
Re: Church meeting
When we had our first meeting with the pastor, before we booked with him, he was asking us questions about us, like where we both grew up, what we do for a living...i guess he was asking questions just to get to know the people we are. And then he told us the requirements of the church in order to get married there. It was painless. I wouldnt be too concerned.
