Re: Church Prigram Help

We wrote 'We remember our loved ones who had an instrumental part in our lives. Although they are not with us today, we feel their presence on this special day. We remember them with love and respect and pray for their blessings as they continue to watch over us from heaven.'

We didn't list specific names because 2 of our great aunts died recently and didn't want my mother to feel sadness that day.

We did:

On this special day, we remember all our loved ones who are not with us. Through the years, their comfort and wisdom have helped to shape our lives. They are here today smiling down on us and watching over us to ensure a wonderful ceremony and a long enduring life together. We love them with all our hearts and they will always be in our thoughts and prayers.

(then in italics we put this poem)
We thought of you with love today, but that is nothing new
We thought about you yesterday, and days before that too
We think of you in silence, we often speak your name
Now all we have is memories and your picture in a frame
Your memory is our keepsake, with which we'll never part
God has you in his keeping, we have you in our hearts.

In loving memory of:
Then we listed the names here

Thanks for that insight! My Brother passed away in 2005, at a young age. His Daughter and her little boy will be in Deb's wedding. Perhaps Debi can take her cue from that 'Daughter', as she's getting married this Sat., and we can look on her program, to see what she writes. Mary MOB
