How far in advance did you girls book your church rehersal? My cousin (my priest) keeps asking me about booking it and when I called the church they said 1 month before. Is that the norm?

We did ours last month. We were certain of what time and date we wanted it, so it was important for us to do it early.

1 month before and you may risk conflicts with other brides. I booked mine the same day I reserved the church!

I'm honestly not sure- we 'booked' ours at our first meeting. We put in a tentative time and the preist said we could change it if need be. He basically said 'its march, you're getting married in december, you're the only bride, don't worry.'
I'd call and book yours!

My church has a specific night they do rehearsals. They schedule rehearsals the thursday night before the weddings occur. So mine will be Thursday, June 3rd.

see- now why are they saying 1 month before? And they still havent told us who our new contact priest will be- our original one left the church in January. I am really starting to get annoyed at them.

My church won't let you officially book until one month before, but when I called they told me they're generally the Saturday before the wedding so I'm tentativly booked for 1 week before the wedding.

I booked mine months ago - we knew we wanted it on Thursday night and our church is doing 3 weddings on my date so we wanted first pick of the rehearsal time.

I think it depends on how your church does things. I did mine about a month ago.

It depends on the church, if they let you book it now, then go for it! Mine didn't let me book until 1 month prior.

I just called the church- They still have no one taking over my paperwork So I asked for the Monsignor to call me back. i also said that I wanted to book the rehersal now. Lets see if and when they call me

Our church had us set that date the same day we set the date for the wedding, so that was 18 months in advanced.
