Church Stress!

So, I called St. Patrick's and the time they have available is 4pm.. Which will give me about.. 45 minutes to take pictures before my cocktail hour.

I dunno what to do!!! Moving cocktail hour to a later time will leave my guests in the dark, moving the church time up is probably impossible because there's a 2:30 wedding.. It's the only one I found that would marry us even though FH hasn't done all his sacraments.

Super traditional so I won't take pictures beforehand..
What a bad day.

Which St. Patrick's? My church won't even tell me if my date is available and won't see me until next weekend, so I can understand the church stress.

I would leave everything the way it is. I'm traditional about my FH seeing me beforehand too, but 45 minutes isn't too bad if you aren't into doing a lot of formal pictures. I would do what you can, make an appearance at the cocktail hour and then take more pictures.

Don't stress, everything will work out :)

Aww that really sucks. There are absolutely no ther churches u can check out? If not, maybe before the church u can at least take pix with your fam and BP and FH can do the same. Then with those 45 mins u can focus on you and him. It is a short time but if u have no other options Im sure u can make it work. Your photographer and Cheeky Im sure will work out a schedule. It will be tough time crunch but I sure it can work.

They aren't making your FH get his sacaraments? Is it just confirmation? I know someone who got it in like 6 months....

Nope.. they recommend it and offered their classes but because he works at night and is a full-time student, the classes don't work with his schedule. The lady let me know they highly encourage it but it won't prevent us from getting married there.

What about moving the cocktail hour to 6:30 - just figured out that you are probably having an outdoor cocktail hour.? You should have enough time to have your cocktail hour before it gets dark. Will Woodbury work with you with the time of the cocktail hour or is there another wedding their that night?

If anything, I guess we could try to make it half an hour later.. I think they'd work with me because only I have that space for the night..

It has come to my understandiong that you are ALSO having Father Tomas from Corpus Christi? LMAO small world. And guess what? I am the 2:30 at St. Patricks...if you want you can have 2:30 and I will take 4...I dont have an outside cocktail hour so to me it doesnt matter because all the people will be inside. So you are more than welcome to take 2:30. I haven't printed invites yet. Let me know what you wanna do and I can meet you there this weekend to change the time if you want or I can call Deacon Joe and tell him that its ok with me.

LOL I would never want to have that cocktail hour in the dark ...it's gorgeous there and so worth it! We shall see. Maybe she doesn't want the 2:30 ceremony but now she might. We shall see! As long as it's a good day for all I am happy!
