church time and reception time

Original post by Nic and Ant

Hi Girls,

I need help or suggestions. I am having a hard time figuring out what time I should get married at the church. My reception starts at 7pm. So i figure the ceremony should be at 4pm. That leaves an hour for the ceremony. But what do the guests do for the other two hours. I also thought that time to get to the reception hall from the church would kill time, until I saw that one of the churches would be 10 minutes away. I'm sure some people will want to stay for the pictures. But what do I do for the out of town guests? What are u guys doing in between the lay over time?

Please help!!!

see if your hall will throw in a cordail hour..mine did, my church is at 330, CH at 630-7 still deciding, having a cordial hour so they can go there straight from the church, it will just be offereing drinks and some food...

my ceremony is at 4pm...figure its gonna take an hour..so it'll be over at like 5pm...then the CH is at 7pm..its not going to take them long to get there...say about 20 minutes max...i talked to my FH about that..i was like 'what are they gonna do until its time to go to the ch?' fh said to me 'they're all adults they can amuse themselves..don't worry about it' and now i don't..because i'm going to be too busy taking pictures to worry about where my guests are going to hang out
