Met with the church last night. They only had one 'restriction'. No pictures during the ceremony. Is anyone else going through this? When the pastor said it...I almost wanted to cry. We can take pictures walking in and walking out and then go back in afterwards and re-create some things. I'm so torn on what to do now!

Re: Church ummm problem I guess you could say
i've never heard of this regulation for weddings. this is such an important moment, why would they want you to not take pictures.
at my moh's wedding the priest said no flash photography from guests but he was fine with the professional photog taking pictures.

You guys are awesome! I'm definitely going to call and try to talk to him about the specifics of the photography. Maybe he doesn't know the church well enough and just said no pictures but it really means something different. So thankful I have this site to turn to!!!! I'll let you guys know how what he says.

good luck! I hope you can work something out.
HOnestly, I dont know how attached you are to your church, but if it were me, I'd just find a new church or get married at my hall. I want pictures of us exchancing vows, rings, and walking down the aisle. You can't recreate that.

Re: Church ummm problem I guess you could say
we're allowed pictures into and out of the church and ONE picture of each reading.. thats it.
we told our photographer and he said he'd work around that.
we're going to talk to father tom about it again, and let him know that the photography will not interfere with the ceremony AT ALL!

that sounds crazy to me I think you should call the church and actually cry until they say yes to pictures

The vicar told me it distracts from the ceremony. That people watch the photographer and get distracted by everything and should be paying attention. I understand that fact but I'm thinking since the church has a balcony that I want to see if we can use that instead. Someone at work also told me to talk to the 'governing body of the church' since the vicar is new and can't make the exception.
A new church is definitely a thought in my head now. But that's just another stress to find one. We'll have to see though.

If I have to talk to the 'governing body of the church' I'm most likely going to cry! Little sympathy people! Let me have pictures!!!!
