I am looking for a church (with a high ceiling) for my wedding in Nassau County.
Any suggestions? The wedding will be a pentecostal ceremony with about 300-400 guests.
Thanks!

Re: Churches
You might want to try Saint Dominics in Oyster Bay, it so pretty there, that is where I am getting married.

Riniko: you should call around first to see if these churches will even marry you if you don't live in that town....bad enough the ones that people attend regularly treat you like it's the biggest chore to marry you!! Just speaking from experience!!

jennmarty is definitely right. Many churches cater to the parishoners. Where do you live?

Also, I could be wrong, but I don't think a Catholic church will do anything but a Catholic ceremony or mass in the church. You should probably ask whatever church you contact (whatever denomination it is...) if they will allow a Pentecostal service.

Re: Churches
Your right, Catholic Churces wont do a ceremony unless both bride and groom are Catholic

Re: Churches
Actually, to set the record straight, a Catholic Church will marry a couple if only one of them is Catholic, as long as they go through Pre-Cana. The couple may also have to do something extra if it is an interfaith marriage. My husband is not Catholic, but Christian, so all we had to do was Pre-Cana.
