Churches in Sayville

I am looking for Churches in Sayville/Oakdale as my RH is out that way and we are not from that area. I do not want to get married at the RH as the only place available is outdoor and I do not want to take that chance. My FH is Catholic and I am Luthern so it does not matter what Church we get married in. Just something local in Sayville/Oakdale. Our RH is Snapper Inn... (As I'm sure everyone has seen in my ten million other posts ;) ) ANY input is appreciated! TYIA

Re: Churches in Sayville

Hey! Im lutheran and we got married by my pastor at St Johns Lutheran on Greene ave in Sayville. Its in the town. He married us at our location, the Thatched Cottage. Its very close to the snapper inn, if you plan on getting married on the water there...ST Johns will do it. They didnt give us a hard time about anything, DH was Catholic and they were fine with it. DH loved my church and pastor so much he converted. They also didnt make us go to any classes. We just had to meet with them for 15 minutes maybe 2 or 3 times. Never gave us a mandatory donation FEE or charge like most churches. Im not sure if thats because we are members though. We gave a generous donation anyway of course. Its nice knowing that we got married from a pastor of a church that Ive been going to for more than 25 years...It felt right. Its an amazing church!

Im not sure if you want to get married AT the church though right now...They are building a huge library right now, next door. Its a bit of an eye soar for guests. Im not sure when the construction will be finished.
