church/veil question

church/veil question

Are you wearing your veil in front of your face or behind? I am so confused. I don't think I like wearing it in front but I think you are supposed to. Any opinions would be very helpful. Thank you.

I'll wear it down the aisle with my dad, then he will lift it to give me a kiss and it will stay back.....

I'm not wearing it in front of my face, I never like that idea. It'll stay behind me so I can get a clear view of my FH's reaction!! But we're getting married outside the RH, I dunno if the church has any rules about this.

I didn't have a blusher at all. Just one tier , nothing in front of my face.
It seemed archaeic to me.

I'm having a 2-tier veil but will not be putting it over my face - it will be at the back of my head.

When you wear it in front of your face it is called a Blusher. I am wearing on down the isle and my dad will pull it over my head. I was nervous about my face being covered for the pics at teh church but I saw some pics of girls with blushers from my photographer and they looked really beautiful.

I had a two tier veil because I like the fullness of it, but I never intended to wear it over my face. It's silly, but after I saw the movie The Others and the scene with the little girl wearing the veil I was just too weirded out. Plus, I preferred the way the veil looked lower down on my head as opposed to on top.

That was just the right choice for me. Most of my friends said they could not imagine not wearing it over their faces. Plus, my dad was so nervous that day and I don't know how he would have done trying to lift the veil! He almost lost it when he handed me over to DH so all around I am glad I did what I did.
