SO FH AND I WENT TO THE WESTBURY MANOR SHOWCASE THIS WEEK AND NOW HE IS DYING FOR THE CIGAR BAR. ITS A LOT LESS MONEY THAN I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE SO I AM TOTALLY DOWN TO DO. I AM JUST WORRIED THAT ALL THE MEN WILL GO OUTSIDE TO SMOKE AND LEAVE THE RECEPTION....NOT LOVING THAT IDEA. DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY INOPUT ON THIS SUBJECT.....HAD ONE AT YOUR WEDDING AND CAN COMMENT PERHAPS? THE ONLY THING I WAS THINKING WAS TO MAYBE SET THE BAR UP TOWARDS THE END OF THE NIGHT SINCE THEY CAN COME WHENEVER YOU WANT....

We are having a cigar bar but only during our viennese hour. This way the guys will only be outside smoking for the last hour or so.. I think it's a cute touch!! We are using La Rosa Cubana cigars... their prices were the best that I've seen!

fh and I dont smoke, and both hate the smell of smoke. we arent doing a cigar bar because our CH is indoor/outdoor and we dont want it to smell like smoke, and it's just another expense we dont need.
if your FH really wants it, then it can be a nice touch --- might be better to do it during CH or viennese hour?

i think i would like it for a summer night wedding - b/c i love hanging outside at night when its not cold....i think i would do it during the VH only b/c less time for people to be outside smoking and missing the party - if you hand them out during CH chances are people will want to eat first and will end up outside smoking during your reception....FH in the business and has seen it happen - where all the men are gone during the party

We are having ours at the cocktail hour...our ch room opens up to an outside, so it will be the best time to do it.
