What do you think of handing out cigars after dessert? Nice touch or stinky?

I want to have a cigar roller, but we will be doing it at the cocktail hour. I prefer the cocktail hour over dessert. Just a personal opinion.

We are having our cigar roller come at cocktail hour - hopefully my CH will be outside.

I like the ideas of cigars. It's a nice touch, and at least in my family I know it would be popular.

We're having a cigar table available for the duration of the reception, so anyone can take.

Just a question... Do RHs actually let people smoke cigars inside?

I've known of a few that let you, in like the lobby or bridal suite, but that was years ago. I think now a days its generally no smoking in all the halls

I have heard of cigars rollers at the cocktail hour, but I decided that I'd like them handed out after dessert instead for two reasons. 1) I don't want everyone going outside to smoke during CH and then the room isn't as full as it should be, and 2) I don't want them stinking the whole night.

I think handing them out after dessert is perfect then.

We had our cigar roller come halfway thru the dessert display and it was a huge hit. People smoked outside which is perfect for Bridgeview since there is so much outdoor space. We decided dessert was the better option for us because we already had so much for cocktail hour and we also didn't want everyone smelling like cigars so early in the night. I think dessert is the perfect time for it!
