Cira- how did you make out with your music list??

Cira - I remember a few months back somebody put a post on this board about the list of music they got from Franklin Wayne Music. I did a search to see who. I got mine last week and am a little confused about the setup as you were. How did you make out when you sent your sheets in? Thanks! I hope it all worked out

It's funny my nickname is Cindy, but my real name is Cira!

Anyway, we went to see Daybreak's Night again at their showcase and spoke to members of the band. In the end, we just listed the songs we wanted to play - without looking at the sheet, because our songs were basic and I knew that they knew them. Plus, they will learn them for you - if they don't.

I didn't pick songs for everything as I thought I would. When we spoke to them, I realized that they do this all the time, and know what they are doing. For instance, I was going to pick an introduction song, but they said that they will be upbeat - so I didn't! I'm confident that they will be great. So, in the end, we picked a song for the first dance, the parents, a dedication song to our parents, the cake song, and the last song. I also picked a song to dedicate to my new hubby!

I also put a don't list - not to extensive, just the electric slide and things like that unless a ton of people request them (which I don't think they will) and told them to play Italian waltzes throughout the evening for my family!

The rest is up to them - pretty much whichever band you hired has a selection of songs (songs you heard at the showcase) that they perform well. I think each band has their own personality too - ours is a fun band, but they also do frankie, barry manilow and some other key classics. Which is what we wanted!

Thank you so much for your info. I had just received the sheets in the mail and remember a post from a couple of months ago. My band is Creations. I will probably go see them one more time. I guess I will add a sheet with all of the songs to play and not play. Good luck to you. I am sure your day is going to be great
