Not to change the subject or anything, but most people in my office are democrats. I keep hearing so many of them say how those who have voted for Bush are uneducated idiots.![]()
It just bothers me, thats all. I can't wait till this is over!
Oh, I can commisserate. Anyone who doesn't agree with them must be a moron. And, there must have been a fix if Kerry didn't win. Blame it on Nader, blame it on Ohio law that allows challenges to voters, blame it on whatever you want.
In the end, Bush will win and he will win because the American public has voted for him over John Kerry. Period.

The same thing is happening here too, a few people had themselves a little meeting to discuss how stupid 58,000,000 people are for voting for Bush.
I actually heard a woman on the train talking about moving to Canada because Kerry lost.

Whatever the outcome.. I'm just glad people got out and voted and took an interest (some for the first time) in their country and the political process...I think the Ohio votes should be counted- b/c they are, in fact, votes- and if I waited on line to case a provisional ballot- I'd hope mine was counted.. whatever candidate they help.
Either way, we lived through 8 years of Regan- we'll be fine.

Not for nothing, but this happens on BOTH sides. I saw a Bush rally oganizer telling someone wearing a Kerry/Edwards t-shirt how horrible she was and that only 'Americans' were allowed at the rally - not the 'French'
Not saying that this anger and nastiness is right, but don't make it out like it's just onesided!!! I've heard pleny of comments either way.
eta - and it really makes me sad.

They are now saying Bush will be making his victory speech this afternoon with or without Kerry's concession.
hmmmm -- don't know if i agree with that
I agree with it wholeheartenly.
Its a 'statistical improbability' that Kerry wins this. Kerry should have conceeded this morning. Yeah not all the votes are counted... but it is customary for somebody to concede at ANY election when they feel they are out of the running (regardless of how many votes are left).
Bush will give his acceptance speech today with or without Kerry's approval.
Oh... and if you don't think we have a clear cut winner... take a look at the stock market today and compare it to this day last year. Big gains on the market already.... they know we have a winner and his name is W2.

LOL... I say don't let the door hit her on the way out. You think tax in the states is bad? Try 15% tax on EVERYTHING you buy. Along with a healthcare system that sucks hard (even though its free).
