Classy DJ?

Hi,

We are looking for a very plain, classy DJ without all the cheese (lighting, smoke, giveaways, etc).

Can anyone suggest anything?

Thanks!

I just want him t play the music, and not get in anyones faces. I am at work though and dont have his number off hand..if you want FM me and when I get home tonight..I will send you his info. He is in Jersey, but he travels and his prices are excellent!!!

You can actually go to ANY DJ. Just tell them that you do not want any of that stuff.

we are using absolute entertainment. i think they are listed in the vendor ratings. they are awesome, low key and don't do give-aways unless you want it. i can't seem to find their number, but i think they are listed in the vendors, as i said before. good luck!

that is exactly what I was looking for, I met with 3 or 4 djs and I just didn't get that impression, even though they told me they wouldn't be cheesy. Thankfully I met 'Music by Michael' - do a search you will find info about him - he was so so classy and helpful, no cheese at all, and slightly less expensive than some other quotes I had gotten. His website is www.musicbymichael.com
good luck!

jpsgirl - did you book Music by Michael? I was unable to go to his showcase but I have spoken to him twice and he sounds sooo nice. I am curious about the MP3 player thing. I have never seen this before (or heard it in person) so i would like to know more about it.

Are any brides using him? Or has anyone ever been at a function where the DJ uses this system? Negatives/positives? Are there any?

I cannot rave about my DJ enough - DJ Glenn Passerelli, WJGP Sound, Port Jeff. He DJ'd my friend's wedding 4 years ago and I never forgot him - so nice, so low-key and played everything I wanted! I really wanted a band, DH wanted a DJ so I compromised - and I am glad I did! He was amazing! He never stopped playing, played a good mix of slow sonngs, dance music, oldies, etc! The crowed never stopped dancing the whole night - the dance floor was packed BEFORE the salad was even served - no flashing lights, no props - a class act from start to finish - he had people asking for his business card all night- FABULOUS!
