I clean mine once or 2x a week. I ordered Caribbean Gem jewelry cleaner from QVC and it is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!! it's got no chemicals, so you can even use to clean pearls

I clean it once a week.

I fill a cup full of water and pput it in the microwave for a minute, then I either add a little ammonia or dishwashing liquid and let my ring soak in the cup for about 5 minutes. Then I take a gentle toothbrush to it and rinse it. Good as new.

are you sure that ammonia is safe to clean a diamond with?

I also heard that you can use toothpaste- every once in a while I use an old toothbrush to quickly clean it- I think it gets the job done!

Does it matter if its dishwashing gel/liquid/ or the powder type? Can cleaning it too often damage the diamonds at all?

I clean it whenever I remember...which is 1 or twice a month and I use efferdent--yes girls denture cleaner. I heard from someone when I got engaged that it is the best thing--and I tried it and sure enough soak it for 5 minutes in that stuff and my e-rings looks like the 1st day I got it.

Honestly....I have only cleaned it twice between when I got it in July and now...and both times I had it professionally done at a jeweler...

I take it off everytime I wash my hands or put lotion on and do not wear it in the shower...it doesn't take much cleaning when it never gets any dirt in it!

I use an ammonia based cleaner that FH got with the ring. Very few things in this world can do anything to something as hard as a diamond BTW! I clean it about 2x week or whenever I feel it needs it.

I clean my ring at least once a week - a friend of mine recommended soaking the ring overnight in Fantastik - it is AMAZING - it sparkles unbelievably!!!!!!!!!

When I got my rings appraised the appraiser told that the only thing she would use on her jewelry is a drop or two of liquid dishwashing soap & warm water, soak for 5 min then use a toothbrush on it. Comes out GREAT!!!!! That is all I use now!

I have it steamed at my jewelrers whenever I can.

My Grandmother has been doing that for like 70 years and her diamond looks amazing !!! Not to worry -
Palmolive also works well, I did about 500 dishes this weekend and my ring looked great !!!

I use alcohol and a soft toothbrush and hot water. But I don't clean my rings nearly as often as I should.
