Um, not even close. Could you please pervert yourself a little bit more so I don't have to spell this out for you? Sheesh.

Re: Clear Channel drops the Howard Stern show

If you listen to Howard Stern you would not hear him saying demeaning things about homosexuals. He does call men 'gay' when they are saying something he doesn't agree with, but I hear real life men doing that all of the time. In fact, Howard Stern has said that he does not understand why homosexuals can't get married.

Over a decade ago, I said to one of my friends that I thought HS was a disgrace and she told me that if I listened to him just once, I would be hooked. She was right.

I think a lot of 'stern haters' have never listened to him speak. I do not feel that he is demeaning anyone. He says things that are off the wall, no doubt. But most of it is said as a joke. It is so outrageous, I can't help but laugh.

So, that is why I support gay marriage and listen to Howard Stern. No hypocracy here.

Kelly, I understood your point many, many hours ago. I just (respectfully ) disagree.

Re: Clear Channel drops the Howard Stern show

Yay Becky! I totally agree.
I really didn't want to say much on this thread b/c I know I'm biased about HS.
But truly, anyone who has not really listened to HS probably does not realize how smart he is - I've learned a lot from him over the years. ANd also makes me laugh!!
The day he retires will be a very sad day in radio, IMO.

Re: Clear Channel drops the Howard Stern show

I agree with Starhead. He is very smart and I agree with him on many topics. There are a few times when I'm not interested in what he's doing or talking about, so I change the station. I too am going to miss him though when his show goes off the air for good.

Thank goodness he's still on here in the SF bay area: Its another way I keep in touch with NY to find out whats going on.

I have to agree with starhead. Believe it or not I think Howard Stern is a pretty smart guy. I don't always find him funny or agree with some of his jokes, but every so often he suprises me with his intelligence....

1996 - 1998, when all that banging was going on. K-Rock moved to 57th Street right after I started and they were doing a lot of work on that floor. I felt bad for those who were trying to work around us!
