For invites, Im having them done by a calligrapher but definately doing them myself for STDs. I was thinking clear labels if I cant get them to print on the envelopes for whatever reason. Is this bad etiquitte...I really dont have good handwriting to do it by hand. /?

For STD's, I just used Envelope Wizard in MS Word and printed directly on the envelopes

If you can't get it directly onto the envelope (which would be my first choice), then I think clear labels are fine for STD's!

I think it would be fine if the envelopes won't print. I used them for my RSVP envelopes because they were too small and with colored ink on an ivory envelope you really hardly notice the labels.

clear labels look fine as long as you use a nice font and make sure you put them on straight. That's what we did for the STDs. A couple of my mom's friends didn't notice the labels and thought we hired a calligrapher.

Save the dates aren't formal like invitations are(IMO) so clear labels are fine. I used clear labels and it looked fine.

Thanks guys! Clear labels it is. I just tried printing from Word and it wouldnt be hard except I want the return address on the back flap and I cant get it at all!!!. I tried to look up directions and still couldnt find anything. Now that I have the LIW seal of approval (OMG cant believe i just said that oyy), Im not gonna worry about it.

I just bought them today. I went to staples for 25 bucks and bought clear address labels and return address labels. I think theres like 700 in each package. Im just gonna use them for my invites also.

I hand addressed my STDs (nice handwriting- didn't even think of printing out the envelopes), so I think clear labels are definitely fine!
