Ok, so FH's sister informed me yesterday that for her wedding (in which I am a BM) she wants us to wear either dyables or clear shoes. She's still deciding between the two. Has anyone ever worn clear shoes? Any brand recommendations, or know a good place to buy them? They seem like they would be uncomfortable to me! And can you wear stockings with them?

Re: Clear Shoes?
Have you ever seen the Chris Rock special Never Scared? If not, you should rent it because there is a whole bit on clear shoes and I think it will change your mind. Trust me, Stick with color!

Clear shoes are disgusting, you can see your foot mushed into them. Stick with a color, I am surprised she would even consider making you wear them.

I'm thinking clear shoes are just a standard no-no for a wedding. Color, stick with color...

Re: Clear Shoes?
Hello, my name is Amy.... (HI AMY) I am here to admit, that I once owned a pair of clear shoes.
I did, I swear - and I'm not proud of it. In my defense, I bought them to wear with a Halloween costume. I wore an old prom dress and went as Cinderella and thought the shoes would be great as my 'glass slippers'.
Ugh..... glass my ***..... they got all fogged up from my sweaty feet and eww, they looked AWFUL. I threw them in the trash the next morning.

That Chris Rock special was hysterical. I have it on tape and have watched it 5 times. I have to agree...NO CLEAR SHOES!

Re: Clear Shoes?
I saw that special your right! But I actually have a pair of clear shoes - they are pretty comfortable and they don't look cheap or trashy at all. I guess it depends on the style you get.
I bought mine at a boutique by my neighborhood. Since I'm having a Cinderella theme wedding - I was actually thinking of wearing them but I'm still undecided.
Try and do a search on the internet and see what comes up. Just don't get nothing with big stiletto heals

Re: Clear Shoes?
I am really about to fall off of my chair!
You would be falling off of your chair too if you knew the hoochie bridesmaid who suggested the clear shoes in the first place. I love the girl, but she is really...well...I am about to choke.
I will definitely take this feedback to the bride and beg for the dyables!!!! Especially since my feet are a little flat and wide, and definitely would look squished!

Just say no to clear!
I wore beautiful and very expensive Anne Klein shoes for my engagement party. They were paritally clear at the toe. Normally I think clear is tacky but these shoes were GORGEOUS! Well I got a TON of compliments on them but they HURT so BAD! No exagerration I had bruises all over my feet before the night was over (because plastic is so stiff) and the pain didn't go away for a month. I had to go to a pediatrist For the love of God, don't wear clear! LOL!

Re: Clear Shoes?
I am having a Cinderella themed wedding. I am looking into wearing Clear Shoes. I did try them on first but found the ones I will purchase on a website.
I worried about the squishing and the sweating but then I tried them on and realized if you don't jam your foot into a shoe (clear, or not clear) that isn't your size...your foot won't be squished.
So, therefore, I am wearing clear vinyl shoes...just making sure I get them in my size.
