Cliffside? Sans Souci Brides??

Did anybody use the house band? Carol gave me the card for Cliffside Entertainment and when I spoke with them this morning the price they quoted me for the band was about $2,000 less than the going rate I have seen. I asked if I could see them play and he said they only did private functions, but he could give me a video of them performing. I'm a little leary because it really sounds like a 'pick up' band, where various musicians come together for different events, but I don't want to write them off just yet. So did anyone use them? Why or why not? Thanks!

We were also recommened to them by Carol. We ultimately went with the Times Square Orchestra and never really looked into the Cliffsiders. However, my uncle used them at his Sans Souci wedding back in 1994 and they were great. I can't answer your questions as to whether or not they are a pick-up band though. They should be able to tell you if they are or not. But I wouldn't write them off if they are coming in $2000 less. From what I remember 8 years ago, they were pretty good, if they still are the same band!!

I'm using Cliffside, but not for a band. I'm having a dj and just live piano playing during the ceremony. Bob was super nice and easy to work with and very resonable.
