Clip-on extensions?

Original post by berryxcited

Where in Queens can I get this done? I would like to go to a salon to have this done for a wedding coming up. Anyone knows of a place in Queens or Nassau. Thanks!

I bought clip-in 100% human hair extensions for my wedding. They were over $200. Maybe $250...$280 something like that. It was a 10-piece set. They looked incredible, totally blended in with my hair and my hair person did a great job putting them in. I can use them again, but still, expensive.

ETA: Got them at Roosevelt Field.

which store in roosevelt field?

It was a kiosk-type thing...not a cart, it was more stable...like a booth. I'll have to look at home for the name, but they're always there....it was downstairs from the food court....near Helzberg Diamonds I think it was. It was def. $280 now that I think about it more.

Oooo good to know thank you, i think i know what you're talking about

np

yeah, they sold fake and real extensions. Fake is less expensive of course, but I wanted real because I wanted her to be able to use the curling iron on them and whatever else she needed to do. The lady told me at the store that the fake ones could be curled but only on a veeeeeeeery low heat and not for that long....I didn't want to mess around with that, so I just forked over the dough for the real ones. I guess it's nice that I have them and can use them again if I want.

I am getting extensions for my wedding too, I had no idea what to buy or how much to buy so my hairdresser is coming with me to a beauty supply place to buy them. Then I will give them to her so she can dye them. I am getting the clip in ones because I dont want to have all that extra hair sewn in on the honeymoon. But at least if you get the clip in ones and want to use them on your honeymoon you can.

The ones from Sally Beauty supply are great, they are human hair and cost under 100$ I have a set and use them all the time, you can wash them and dye them.

oh also jessica simpson has a line of clip on extensions and i think its $100, never used it so cant comment on them

I've used them a bunch of times. They are about $100 and synthetic hair. It's a little bit shinier than real hair but it does blend if you get the right color. I bought mine at Ricky's in NYC but you can get them online and a bunch of salons sell them too. She also makes real hair ones for $500 but its not worth the price for clip ons when you can get real bonded extensions for about $1,000.

Anyone know where I can get the real bonded ones where they won't damage my hair too much for about $1,000 near Queens or LI?

You can get it for 1k, try friends in astoria its all guys who work there and they are real good. Not sure how much they charge though. I know this place on austin street was going to charge me $800 for the extensions.

Thanks, you're using the Pedala sisters right? I have a hair trial with them coming up

I am starting to think I might want real ones though, for the honeymoon so I can swim with them and everything. I haven't decided yet.

yes with the pedala sisters

thats funny bc the reason i dont want real ones is bc of the HM hahahaha. Ive had real extensions a few times before and it takes forever to wash, forever to blow dry and becomes a bit of a hassle and i dont want to deal with that on my HM, dont want to spend so much time doing my hair

its up to you, if you dont mind then go for it. I am a person who hates taking long to do her hair and i figure with the hm i am really not going to want to do it but everybody is different. Thats why i was so happy when i found out claudia pedala does it with the clip on extensions and she provides them so dont even have to go looking for it myself
