Where in Queens can I get this done? I would like to go to a salon to have this done for a wedding coming up. Anyone knows of a place in Queens or Nassau. Thanks!

Re: Clip-on extensions?
most salons do sewn in extensions and bonded extensions. If you want clip on extensions some salons do it but you have to special order it. This one salon i go to for curling and for events is in astoria, now the guy does have clip on extensions if you want to buy them. He charges what the regular ones cost and just for the hair its $1200-2000 bc he uses real virgin european hair which is the most expensive kind to get and has them imported from europe. The clip ons you'll see its alot of the wedding stylists that use it bc well the day of they wont sew it in or bond it in your hair, that alone takes a few hours. And the place in astoria i mentioned, they wont have it when you go in, you have to order it first

theres places that sell it for $50 but you just have to be careful and make sure its real hair bc otherwise it wont curl or it might initially curl and then RIGHT away it will loosen up. I was sent somewhere to buy the hair and it said its real hair but it had to be mixed with something else, maybe horse hair since they use that. Well it looked great when they first curled it, but then by the time i got to the party, my own hair was still curly and the extensions were straight so my hair looked retarded. But there are hair stores in the city. Not all are that expensive, but if you do research online you will see that its broken up into categories and virgin european hair is the most expensive so thats why he charges that much. You can get hair that was dyed though and that would be less.

they really are...i had it to my waist once and OMG it takes forever to wash and then after its so heavy when its wet and blow drying it was a nightmare. I had the ones that stay in though not the clip-ons. Needless to say, it was supposed to last about 3 months, after the first month i had them taken out

Re: Clip-on extensions?
I bought clip-in 100% human hair extensions for my wedding. They were over $200. Maybe $250...$280 something like that. It was a 10-piece set. They looked incredible, totally blended in with my hair and my hair person did a great job putting them in. I can use them again, but still, expensive.
ETA: Got them at Roosevelt Field.

Re: Clip-on extensions?
I am currently growing my hair and dont know if I could add legnth and weight like that all at once. I know models and celebrities do it all the time.. but that is a heckk of a lot of money for hair.. at least for me right now!

It was a kiosk-type thing...not a cart, it was more stable...like a booth. I'll have to look at home for the name, but they're always there....it was downstairs from the food court....near Helzberg Diamonds I think it was. It was def. $280 now that I think about it more.

yeah, they sold fake and real extensions. Fake is less expensive of course, but I wanted real because I wanted her to be able to use the curling iron on them and whatever else she needed to do. The lady told me at the store that the fake ones could be curled but only on a veeeeeeeery low heat and not for that long....I didn't want to mess around with that, so I just forked over the dough for the real ones. I guess it's nice that I have them and can use them again if I want.

yeah good idea bc otherwise soon after your hair would've looked like a mess with the fake ones. Yeah you can keep them for a very long time and might come in handy
