I am going to CLM tonight to do my menu & cake selection.
Are you allowed to taste the cakes before you select your cake ?
Can i bring in my own design ? Help me out please.

i was just there yesterday, but FH and I actually made a seperate appointment with the bakery regarding the cake. If i were you I would call Black Forest (also in Lindenhurst) and schedule an appointment to go there to pick your cake. They show you a huge book with tons of pictures and they will do virtually anything you want (although you may end up paying a little extra depending on what you decide). I am sure you can bring in a picture too, and they can just copy it. Their cakes all looked really nice.
Regarding tasting...most of the wedding cake flavors they do not have on hand on a regular basis. But if you order it before hand then can make a small cake for you, although you will have to pay for the cake. (i think she said it is about $15 for the small cake).
Just let CLM know that you are going to go to Black Forest to book the cake on your own. Good Luck!

no they dont do cake tastings from what Lou told me he said alot of places odnt do it anymore ...its too expensive...but i am gonna call campbells ( im not going thru bloack forest) its the otehr bakery they work with....and see what they say about it
