CLOSING COSTS!!

I know there are lots of variable involved, but can anyone give me an idea of what the closing costs would be for a house that costs $340.0? THANKS!!

I think mine were about $12000 and my house was $320 last year

My sister said her were about 13,000 and her house was 420 or so.

I think it depends on your taxes, the time of year, the time of the month, among other things.

Thank you for the info! Dumb question, but I'm so new to this....do you usually pay the closing cots up front? Are there any agencies to help with that? Thanks for the help.

mine were $7k for a $285k house.

we did a seller's concession - meaning, they accepted our offer at $279k (asking price). then, the sellers paid the closing costs but increased the sale price to $285k - which is what our mortgage is for.

We had to have some checks at the closing - I think ours totalled about 10,000. You may be able to take out a mortgage for a higher amount, and build some of the closing costs into that. Also, the mortgage company should give you an estimate of what the closing costs will be.
