Can anyone recommend washers/dryers, refrigerators, and electric stoves. There are too many choices! Also, for the kitchen we are leaning toward stainless steel..any pros/cons? (PS We don't have any kids yet...I know that's a con for cleaning the stainless steel)

Our kitchen is all stainless and it is not that hard to keep them clean with the exception of fingerprints. They show up on the brushed stainless constantly. Brand wise look for energystar and whatever suits your needs. By this I mean they all do not have to be the same brand. Our dishwasher is a MayTag Deep Tub which is the only unit that has a deeper tub to acconmodate our large plates. The stove is a commercial six burner by Premiere and the microwave with exhaust above the stove is a GE. The fridge is also a GE. We bought what we felt would suit our needs.

the best would probably be going to the local library and looking through the consumer reports guides......

Thanks! I did some more research today (radiant features, self clean, #of cubic ft., etc). I forgot about the library...Haha, guess that shows how often I get to read! I tried to go on consumer reports.com, but you have to subscribe...
