Clueless Bride Needs Help FAST

It is official that I am absolutely clueless when it comes to wedding planning. Well now it's crunch time (apparently) and I'm starting to stress.

I'm trying to find my wedding dress and bridesmaids dresses this weekend and like most others, am trying to get the most bang for my buck. Being that I have no girlfriends that have gotten married, none can be of assistance. I'm looking at going to places in the city that would be affordable, and hopefully have shorter lead times than most Boutique salons. I am all about buying off the rack and now have no idea where I should start!!

I know I should hit RK Bridal, but where else in the city??? PLEASE HELP!

Thanks in advance! :)

The only place in the city that I know of that will offer you a really large selection at good prices is RK Bridal...I would definitly go there first.

You can go to the bridal building at 1385 broadway. But, you need to register first at bridalbuilding.com

Ditto, but you can also register in person, but either way its not mandatory. I ordered my wedding dress there this past Saturday

There is the bridal building on Broadway, which I hear is only open to the public on Saturdays, so you may want to check before you go.

Macy's has a bridal salon (34th Street & 7th Avenue), though when I went there for bridesmaid dresses, I found them fairly unhelpful. Maybe I got someone on a bad day, I don't know. The prices will probably be higher than RK also.

I loved RK. I went by myself also, and the woman who helped me with my dress was very helpful, very pleasant. It was almost as good as having my mother with me. I really think you'll be comfortable there. If at all possible though, go on a weekday. Weekends I hear they are very busy, and you might have a wait.

Good luck!
