When you got engaged did a 'clump' of other people you know get engaged pretty soon before or after you?
I didn't have any engaged friends and then one of FHs friends proposed a few weeks after, and then my neighbor got engaged 4 months after that!
I guess it comes in waves

The person I sit next to at work got engaged in January/February. We got engaged May 3 and FH's cousin got engaged at the end of May.

My good friend got engaged like 3 days after we did. He waited until we had a few minutes in the spotlight. Ha ha.

i think it def comes in waves.......
FH and I started talking about getting engaged in December.....then EVERYONE i knew started getting engaged......1 friend, 2 girls in my office, people I went to high school with - old friends, it was insane - it was every week someone else we knew got engaged - probably about 15-20 people in 6 months.....so of course everytime I told FH someone else got engaged he would get annoyed - b/c I would tell him I don't want to get engaged anymore b/c it felt like EVERYONE was getting engaged
so finally 7 months later in July FH totally surprised me and proposed......and told me how horrible it was that everyone kept stealing his thunder!

It definately comes in waves. We were towards the end of my friends so it was Dec, April and us in July. And his friends were May Sept and most of them got the rings from the same guy -- he made out like bandit.
Next year we are swamped with weddings including ours.
And all of other friends that were in the earlier wave are starting with baby #1 and some baby #2 == IT DOESN'T END!!!!!!!!!!!

4 of us got engaged within 4 months.
first couple in September, Second in October, and two of us in November.

i got engaged in june and then my cousin proposed to his gf a month or so later LOL and me and my cousin are 2 months apart in age...we grew up together so its just funny that we got engaged around the same time as well lol hes just getting married a year earlier than me

Yes. A lot of my friends got engaged the same year I did. I had a lot of weddings this year and even more next year. I think it's contagious in circles of friends.

Yes - one of my bridesmaids will be getting married next Christmas and her boyfriend, I think, wants to propose at my wedding (not if I have something to do with it!) Another one of my friends is looking for a ring. and even people who don't have the rings are calling themselves 'engaged'

Within a six month period, my brother, FH's cousin 2 of FHs friends and my BFF got engaged...we were the last in the bunch
