Cluster headaches

Does anyone suffer from this type of headache? I have been having headaches for the past 2 months. The Neuro doc thinks this is what they maybe. I have to get bloodwork done and go for an MRI.

Re: Cluster headaches

I suffer from cluster migraines...thankfully it's been over 6 months since I've had a cluster. They can last anywhere from 3 days to 4 weeks. It's painful and debilitating at times.

The dr who (finally) diagnosed me with them (after MRI's, etc) said that they are more common with men and of those men there is some percentage - which I forget right now - that commit suicide due to the pain.

There really isn't anything tht helps me...I just ride it out, have learned to live with them and hope for the end.

I hope your dr has better solutions for you!! Feel better....

I have been reading up on them. I feel bad for people who have them really bad. Some of them hit their heads just to distract them from the pain. Thankfully I don't have them that bad but they are pretty painful at times.

I can't tell you how many times I think banging my head against the pavement would make me feel better. The pain is intense...and then other days during the cluster it is just annoying.
