Ive watched some of the translations. he gives reasons why 9/11 happened, says that the American people can protect themselves not Bush or Kerry, and that if we dont attack them then they wont attack us.

I remember hearing something about when the new BL tape airs there are going to be assinations in the US or overseas... I wonder whats going to happen now.

Just goes to show that it will make ABSOLUTELY NO DIFFERENCE whether Kerry or Bush gets elected.

Everyone seems to think if Kerry gets elected... the world will like us more and we will re-build our foreign relations. Total BS if U ask me and this tape proves it.

Osama bin Laden delivered a new videotaped message in which he told Americans their security does not depend on the president they elect, but on U.S. policy. 'Your security is not in the hands of Kerry or Bush or al Qaeda,' bin Laden said in the video aired on the Arabic language network Al-Jazeera.

Yes, it's extremely appropriate if you have no respect for human rghts, and you have no problem with Bush getting us thrown out of the human right commission, and you want to be just like the Saudi gov't thugs. Yep. Very appropropriate

HUMAN RIGHTS???!!! You care about this guys human rights? You have got to be kidding! You think any of these people care about your human rights? NO! They want to kill you! This is why we are having so much trouble fighting this war and getting the job done. Everyone still thinks you can give this guy a hug and he will change his mind!

BTW: in order to have human rights, you must be human...he does not qualify!

I believe that if we want to uphold human rights, they apply to all human beings. They have to. Because where will it end? people are ebing denied human rights all around the world (and by the united states as well, have no doubt), and it has to be that either EVERYONE's human rights are valued and protected, or no one's are, and I'm afraid that's what it's going to come to.

ETA: Even if you think that's hippydippy bullshat, you cna think of it this way 'why sink to their level?'

I do think you have a valid point, however, there are just times you can not turn the other cheek. It would be nice to say that we are above that and more 'civilized'. Unfortunately this is not a perfect world and when it comes to things like this you can not just stick your nose in the air and say we are better than you and we are not going to retaliate. If that were the case then you could walk into any country you want and just take it over. A public beheading would not even happen in the 1st place, I just don't care about Bin Laden's 'rights'. JMO.

It's not about not retaliating, but there are ways to retaliate aside fomr a public beheading. Everyone deserves some semblance of a trial (even if it's an open and shut case), and people should never make a spectacle out of the death of another person.

I have to agree with the futuremrsH , 'those' people dont have the same beliefs we do- life to them is meaningless. why should we be 'humane' to them after what they did and will continue to do if 'we' dont stop them? its because we are so ******** humane is whats getting us into trouble. we americans 'care'. frankly we shouldnt. after 93's bombing and Clinton a demorcrat in office screwed up things even more there is no way Im voting for another demorcrat. and that would be GREAT if we beheaded those bastards that want to kill us!!!!!!!! we have to show them whose boss not the other way around. we gave back saddam cause we are humane and I hope it doesnt come back and bite us in the a$$ in the future!!!! all in all this topic sucks!!!! there is no right or wrong or rhyme or reason.
