Cocktail food only receptions?
Still on the venue hunt. I'm going to be looking at West Sayville and Thatched Cottage in two weeks, so I'm hopeful.I was wondering if anyone is having a 'cocktail food only' reception? I know they do all these fun stations (I went to a wedding at Thatched Cottage that had a nacho bar and a sushi station!) so I wanted some feedback on the places you know that do this and how much more it usually costs?
It might seem weird, but I'm pretty adament that I want the food to be this way (as opposed to a sit-down or a buffet). You know, carving station, pasta station, and lots of fun food. Plus (the best part) -- no seating chart!
Let me know your thoughts ladies

Re: Cocktail food only receptions?
One of the 2012 brides did something similiar to this at Thatched Cottage. She HIGHLY raved about it and even wrote a review about it. Check it out on the Bride's Review Section.I think that would be a great idea, and real fun too! I never went to a wedding like this but I think it would work out perfect!

I know West Sayville offers a 'cocktail' reception. Steve is EXTREMELY accommodating!! I am doing the sitdown dinner and he is VERY willing to work with you and your budget. He is super friendly! If you'd like I can FM you the quote I got for a saturday night in december of 2014!
